Material

The recycled plastic we transform comes from industrial waste (such as food packaging and toys) and post-consumer waste (refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, monitors and used computers). We source our plastic already washed and ground or regranulated, directly from companies or from certified waste processors.

We use only 100% certified green energy from renewable sources. To ensure no material is wasted, we grind production scraps and reuse them in new panels.

You can explore our full catalog at this link. We also offer customization for special projects — whether adjusting the color percentage within a texture or creating custom mixes. If you have something specific in mind, reach out to us.

Our standard panel size is 2600 x 1200 mm, with thicknesses ranging from 12 to 40 mm. Thickness tolerance is ±1 mm.

Our panels weigh approximately 10 kg/m² per 10 mm of thickness. The weight may vary slightly depending on the composition of the raw material.

Our panels are made from selected recycled plastic, but a certain degree of variability is inherent to the nature of the material. Over the years, we have worked to build a supply chain that is as consistent and local as possible to ensure color uniformity in our textures. However, slight variations in tone may occur between different batches due to the unique mix of the original material.
The color of our panels remains stable over time. If exposed outdoors, some fading or yellowing may occur due to weather conditions and UV exposure.

Each panel is inspected one by one after production. A panel is considered first quality when at least one of its two sides is smooth, with any surface holes not exceeding 2 mm in diameter. Every panel has a unique texture, determined by the random distribution of material and any natural inclusions or irregularities from the recycled plastic. Declared thicknesses have a ±1 mm tolerance.

Plastiz panels are versatile and suitable for various applications: from furniture elements like tables, shelves, displays, kitchen countertops, bathroom surfaces, and reception desks to wall cladding and partitions. They can be worked with CNC routers and are thermoformable.

Technical Information

Our panels have a semi-gloss finish naturally achieved through the heat of the pressing process. They can be sanded to achieve different levels of gloss, both on the surface and edges.

Our panels are resistant to wear and indirect heat. If the surface shows signs of use over time, it can be easily restored with light hand sanding or a sander.
Regarding heat resistance, the material withstands brief contact with hot surfaces, but prolonged exposure to direct heat sources can damage it. In simple terms? A hot pan placed for a few seconds won’t be a problem, but leaving it to cool on the panel will affect the surface.

The durability of plastic outdoors depends on several factors, including latitude, climate, sun exposure, color, geometry, and mechanical stress. We conducted tests simulating one year of UV exposure in a temperate European climate, that showed that Plastiz panels may fade or yellow slightly over time, depending on the base color.
For outdoor applications, we recommend finishing the panels with a UV-resistant transparent coating. Need advice on the best coating? Get in touch!

Yes, Plastiz panels are water and humidity-resistant. They can be safely used for bathroom furniture, wall tiles, and even shower interiors.

Our panels can be processed using standard woodworking machines. They can be cut with CNC routers, milled, planed, drilled, engraved, and even thermoformed. For the best results, we recommend blades and drill bits designed for plastics and a slow feed rate to prevent overheating. For additional details, check out the guides in our Download section.

Store panels horizontally to protect them from dust and accidental scratches. If stored vertically, make sure they are securely supported with appropriate racks or shelving. We recommend keeping them vertical only for short periods to prevent warping. Panels can be stacked evenly, and edges should be protected during storage and handling.

Yes, Plastiz polystyrene panels can be easily bonded using any cyanoacrylate glue (like superglue). They can also be screwed and joined using mechanical connectors like Domino or Clamex.

We recommend using diluted dish soap and a microfiber cloth. If scratched, the panels can be lightly sanded to restore their original finish.

Plastiz panels are monopolymeric, meaning they are made from a single type of polymer, ensuring complete recyclability at the end of their life. Panels can be sent to plastic waste processors or returned to us to be transformed once again. Production scraps can be disposed of through standard plastic recycling collection.
