The original idea was to give new life to old and outdated furnishings by creating a collection of unique pieces that could be easily installed in any of the Humana Vintage point of sales.
The result is a series of functional art pieces that blend baroque-style moldings, curvilinear inlays, scrolls, and frames together with the modern and pop aesthetic of Plastiz, a new surface material made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic.
We wanted to transform old furniture into new and unique pieces of decor. We started by cutting and refurbishing old wooden broken furniture, and then we integrated it with custom made panels created with plastic waste from refrigerator drawers and single-use cutlery.
The result is a combination of vintage design and modern materials that brings colors and uniqueness to the Humana Vintage stores.
